Misty was rescued from an offshore island, where she had been living in tough conditions. When she was brought to safety, she was diagnosed with stomatitis, a painful condition that required a full mouth extraction, so she no longer has any teeth.

Misty is very scared of humans right now. She may hiss and swipe if she feels threatened or cornered. She needs a foster or adoptive home with someone who is patient and has experience working with shy or fearful cats. This person will need to help Misty regain trust in humans and feel safe again. With time and gentle care, she has the potential to become more comfortable and trusting.

• • Primary caregiver/adopter must be a working adult as keeping a cat is a lifetime commitment with financial responsibilities
  • Cat must be kept INDOORS
  • Meshing and/or installing appropriate grilles is a must for windows/gates. (proper catproofing)
  • Cat must be fed good quality wet & dry food.
  • Cat must be given the necessary vet care as and when needed (eg annual vaccination & check-ups).
  • If adopting, Adoption fee & signing of adoption contract applies.
  • Allowing a pre-adoption home visit and periodic home visits (pre-arranged) by fosterer/ rescuer when the cat is adopted.
