Meimei is a sweet and trusting cat who is being fostered by us for the time being, as she is very domesticated and well loved by the community here.

She has been spayed and dewormed, and her vaccinations will be coming soon after CNY. She is FIV negative, but FeLV positive, so she cannot mix with our own cat who is negative, and has to be stuck in a small room to quarantine. If you are planning to adopt her, please make sure that you are only planning to adopt one cat, or has another that is also positive. Do read up on FELV as a condition, its management and expectations to learn more. As of now, she has no indications or symptoms of the disease, and we have regularly checked on her for the past 3 months as a stray and 2 weeks as a foster.

If you would like to adopt a loving and gentle cat, please contact me and give her a home that she can freely roam!

PS: she loves to eat and play, and we can provide litterbox if you’re a first time adopter! Please mesh your home as required, and we will arrange a visit.

The following guidelines must be strictly followed:

1. The cat must be kept strictly indoors, meaning all your open windows and gate must be secured with mesh.

2. Primary adopter should be financially stable, and every member of the household should be agreeable to the adoption.

3. The cat must be provided good quality food and regular vet care. This will include upkeep of vaccinations and ensuring that you can financially maintain that level of care for the 20 years of her life.

4. Adoption house visit, fees and contract apply.

General adoption procedure:

1. Preliminary review via whatsapp/email. Send me the completed form. form download: https://www.catwelfare.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Sample-Adoption_Questionaire.doc

2. Potential adopters to meet the kitten/cat. If you like the kitten/cat and I see that the kitten/cat is cool with you as well, you can proceed with prepping the house to ensure it’s cat proof.

3. I will then do a house visit to ensure that your place is in fact cat proofed. We can sort out the details of food, litter, etc to ensure a smooth transition. If you have an existing cat(s), then we will also discuss the introduction process.

4. Once everything’s prepped, I’ll arrange to transfer the cat/kitten. Once the adoption is confirmed in principle, it will be confirmed through the signing of an adoption contract and the payment of adoption fees.
