Dear valued member

On behalf of the volunteers and staff of Cat Welfare Society (CWS), we would like to thank you for being our members.

This year, our 15th year of operation, has been a milestone year for CWS.

The Love Cats Pilot Project in Chong Pang has provided an opportunity for HDB flat dwellers to own cats in a responsible way. There has been positive feedback from residents on the pilot and will be extended from Oct 2014 for another 2 years.

The Stray Cats Sterilisation Programme (SCSP) has been introduced island wide with the support of the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) and town councils. Sterilisation and micro-chipping of community cats in all HDB estates are now fully reimbursed, promoting responsible and humane cat management in our shores.

We continue to lend support to low income families, schedule door to door awareness campaigns for abuse cases and assist with hoarder cases. To date, we have mediated more than 1500 cases this year.

All we have achieved so far would not have been possible without your help. As a token of our appreciation, all current and new members will receive a small gift of a car decal with which we hope you will display with pride, as your contributions has helped the lives of many of our island’s felines.
