Here are some highlights of our journey in 2023

Sterilisations – CWS sterilised 3009 community cats and 2392 pet cats which cost us over $500,000.

Community Engagement – Our team of four Community Engagement Mangers handled 2297 cases in 2023 working wtih stakeholders like Town Councils, HDB, National Parks and NEA.

Advocacy – We made huge strides in legalising cat ownership in HDBs with the ban expected to be overturned in late 2024. Our ground work in collecting data from Bukit Merah, Macpherson, Toa Payoh and Marsiling has helped us prove that it is time for the law to catch up to our ground realities.

Education – CWS launched an education programme for our youngsters in 2023 and hopes to expand this with a dedicated resource in the future.
