Stray Cat Sterilisation Programme
CWS administers the Stray Cat Sterilisation Programme.
Under the programme, the National Parks Board pays for 50% of the cost of sterilisation of cats, up to a maximum of $30 for male cats and $60 for female cats, and the cost of microchipping, up to $20. CWS pays for the balance through public donations.
Terms & Conditions
- Please note that by booking a sterilisation slot through Cat Welfare Society, you are agreeing to the full SCSP Terms & Conditions.
- All cats sterilised through CWS will be microchipped and have their left ears tipped, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS.
- All trapping, transport, post-op boarding are covered on a case-by-case basis budget permitting. If possible, do consider paying for the trapping and tranport or making a contribution to CWS to defray this cost (How to trap a cat).
- Other medical costs will not be covered by CWS and are to be borne by the caregiver
- There is a limited number of sterilisation slots with boarding that we are able to support per month. An allocation is not guaranteed for every submission we receive.
- Do consider making a donation to CWS if you have benefitted from our sterilisation programmes. CWS is a registered charity in Singapore with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status; any donation to CWS will receive a tax deduction of 250%.
- We are running on a volunteer basis. Replies may take 2-3 days. Sterilization appointments will not be immediate, depending on the availability of your selected clinic.
