Hello there, my name is Checkers. I used to be roaming the streets in an isolated corner of the island. One day, things started changing. I later learnt that the place I lived in was about to be torn down to make way for a big train, so the hoomans who were feeding me took me off the streets.

At first, I was scared. I didn’t know what had happened. It took me a while to understand and open up to my foster hoomans. But now, I love snuggling my face into their hands, and kneading when they stroke my back. I gaze at them with my soulful eyes everyday, hoping they will understand that, despite my shyness and sometimes hissiness, I do appreciate the regular food, safe shelter, and toys they have given me.

The hoomans now think I’m ready to find my forever home, a place that will be my safe shelter, always, and filled with love, kindness, and patience. Will you be my forever home and hooman?

• Male, 2-3 years old, FIV/FELV negative
• Vaccinated, Sterilised, Deflead, Dewormed
• Litter trained on tofu litter
• Hearty eater who loves kibbles and wet food 🙂

Purrsonality

• Shy upon first meet – will hiss and hide. But if you invest constant time and love, he will open up and become your loyal companion.
• Independent, mature, calm
• Not suited for loud, high activity families (eg families with young kids)

• Houses must be meshed fully, even for windows/gates/balconies that are normally not opened or accessible to Checkers
