Mikan (Orange) and Kuri (Chestnut) are siblings rescued from an industrial area where new BTOs are being built. Nobody knows how they got there, but there they were playing around in clay and giving off a Trump-like orange aura of dust. They were taken into foster care about 2 weeks ago. They have both been sterilised – Mikan is female and Kuri is male – vaccinated, dewormed and revo-ed. They may be adopted individually.

Mikan the female kitten is the braver of the two and will approach you and ask for sayangs. She is generally a well behaved kitten who doesn’t cause any destruction. She can play on her own or with Kuri. She gets hissy with new cats for a very short amount of time before she moves on in life with playtime. She has a kinked tail that can get stuck on things so you just have to check on that.

Kuri the male kitten has a very interesting brown hue to his usual tabbi-ness. If you see the top of his head, there’s a little streak like he’s been blessed. He’s also friendly and playful but a bit more cautious at the start. He will observe and might even hiss at you but does not bite or strike. The way I befriended him was to first bribe him with ciao and when he was sleepy, I gave him chin and butt scritches. He now sits beside me on the couch to watch tv. Sometimes he gets dementia and might hiss if you approach him too fast. Then he’ll remember that he knows you and look embarassed.

The following guidelines must be strictly followed:

• They must be kept strictly indoors, meaning all your windows and gate must be secured with mesh.
• Primary adopter should be financially stable, and every member of the household should agree to the adoption.
• They must be provided good quality food and regular vet care.
• Adoption house visit, fees and contract apply

Adoption procedure:

1. Preliminary review via whatsapp/email
2. Potential Adopters visit the fosters to meet the cat/kitten(s) (per Covid-19 regulations)
3. If potential adopter is interested to adopt the cat/kitten, they are to cat/kitten proof their house (meshing of windows/gates)
4. Foster to do a house visit to ensure that the potential adopter’s house is cat/kitten proofed (per Covid-19 regulations)
5. If everything is in place, potential adopters can make final preparations to welcome cat/kitten (purchase food, litter, etc)
6. Transfer of cat/kitten would be made, adoption contract signed, and adoption fees paid
   
7. Foster and adopters to keep in touch for any questions/issues that might arise.
