Awareness Programme
CWS is focusing on increasing the awareness of sterilisation among the general public. With more knowledge about sterilisation, people are more likely to sterilise their own pets, and to consider getting community cats sterilised – all of which will help to prevent more unwanted cats being born and then killed.
CWS will be happy to come down and give talks on Sterilisation both for pet cats and for community cats. We will also talk about the Trap-Neuter- Return-Manage programme for community cats. For more information on TNRM, do go to our FAQ. Contact us at info@catwelfare.org for more information and to find out about our availability to speak at your event.
School Talks
CWS can also come down and give school talks but our talks are aimed at older students – upper secondary and above. Our school talks also focus entirely on Sterilisation, and the TNRM programme.
Presentations to Management Committees and Residents Committees
If you live in an area and want to start up a TNRM programme, we are more than happy to help come down and do a presentation for your Management Committee or Residents Committee to explain the principles of TNRM and why it is the most effective and humane solution to control the population of community cats.
If you’d like us to come and speak to a group of volunteers in your area who want to start up a TNRM programme, do drop us an email as well so we can find out more.
If you would like to volunteer with us to conduct any of these activities, please click here and fill out the volunteer sign-up form. Please indicate on the form that you would like to participate in our awareness programme.
