Rock to the tune of animal welfare

The Straits Times | Oct 8, 2011 Rock to the tune of animal welfare Amanda Tan CALL it Animal Aid when local musicians play for free this weekend to help raise money for animal welfare groups. Organised by home-grown music institution Thunder Rock School, the event will feature nine acts, including bands and soloists, at 313@Somerset's Discovery Walk today and tomorrow, from 11am to 8pm.

The recent Multi-Stakeholder Focus Group discussion brought together diverse views from invited members of the public, including stray feeders and complainants, who wrote into the MND Online Feedback Portal on pet ownership and stray management issues and representatives from animal welfare groups, town councils, housing board and animal welfare and control centre. We can possibly see more such discussions in the future.

What kind of cat lover are you?

Government officers, the press and even friends often like to refer to us as "all you cat lovers".

We love this special animal for its grace and beauty. We appreciate it in varying degrees for its many traits - independence of mind, curiosity and vulnerability.

Chong Pang Division Blks 101 - 161, 165 - 167, 170 - 175, 300 - 318, 350 - 355, 701 - 716 (134 blocks) under Sembawang-Nee Soon Town Council
Funding for sterilisation - Free - 50% funded by AVA & 50% funded by Sembawang-Nee Soon Town Council
Participating clinics - AMK Vet Surgery & Mount Pleasant (Springside)
