URGENT: [SA17088] Seeking Donations for Community Cat with Bad Teeth, Infection and Kidney Problems

Suki is a community cat from central Singapore. She was dehydrated, not eating, very thin and was therefore brought to the vet.

The vet discovered that Suki had gum problems and rotten teeth, too. She was given subcutaneous fluids and antibiotics. Her blood tests showed that she had an infection. After this treatment, she recovered and dental treatment was provided to her. The teeth were cleaned and some were extracted.

The caregiver continued to care for her, but she did not gain weight. Therefore, another blood test was done which showed that she had kidney problems. Suki has since been given kidney food and subcutaneous fluids daily and she has improved.

Suki could not be released back to the neighbourhood as she is still not eating and drinking well enough, and is currently being fostered.

The total medical cost incurred was SGD948.57.

The caregiver is appealing for donations to help defray the cost incurred for Suki, with the maximum appeal amount at SGD750.00.
